A154 Jib stick spike
In the dark ages when jib sticks were made of wood and were not self launching there was one of these on the end of a wooden pole. The poor wee crew stood by the mast trying to stab it into the clew eye of an Enterprise or National 12 jib whilst the helmsman fumed impatiently. A nice fitting for classics I think Fireflies still use them.
